Old Wisdom
featuring vintage & saintly advice from the old worldFinding wisdom in antiquity.
Just because it’s old, does not make it right (or wise).
However, I do find learning about life from the saints and unofficial saints from centuries past often leads to more reasonable advice than modern-day forums.
Just look at the return to self-sufficiently and the desire to eat clean foods. Compare the moral standards of our grandparents’ generation (or earlier) to now!
There is true goodness and beauty to be found in this world. I happen to think a lot of it is found in stained glass windows and a-line dresses.
If you identify your homemaking style as a vintage lover or enjoy musing over wisdom of old, I invite you to browse this page.
